Hiking

Valdigne is one of the best-equipped areas in the Alps for those who want to spend time outdoors. Below you'll find what there is to do and some tips!

Hike to Rifugio Bertone

Val Ferret. The trail starts just beyond Planpincieux (past the campground) and climbs with wide switchbacks through meadows. Stunning views. Easy climb, suitable for everyone. Time approx. 1.5 hours. You can then descend directly to Courmayeur, a steeper descent.

Hike to Rifugio Bonatti

Val Ferret. From Lavachey, walk past two switchbacks and then the trail begins. Steep climb, more challenging than Bertone, the first part through the woods. Views of the Grandes Jorasses. Time approx. 1 hour.

Hike to Rifugio Elisabetta

Val Veny. At the end of the valley, this easy walk begins. Unfortunately, the first part is along the road. Then, reaching the Combal plain, you continue on a trail. With a small detour you can admire Lake Miage, what remains of it... Time approx. 2 hours.

Hike to Lake Arpy

From the top of Colle San Carlo, this easy and comfortable walk begins, suitable for everyone, including families with small children. You walk most of the time through the woods. It's a lovely alpine lake surrounded by meadows, very popular in July and August
